Counseling and Referral for PEP, PrEP and HIV Treatment


PrEP for HIV
PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a once-daily medication or a bimonthly injection to prevent the transmission of HIV. When used consistently, PrEP has been shown to reduce the risk of HIV infection by up to 99%. Anyone who is sexually active and doesn't have HIV can use PrEP.

To find out if PrEP is right for you, talk to our staff. We will discuss the options available to cover the cost of PrEP, help you enroll into any benefits programs, and coordinate your first medical appointment with the PrEP provider.


PEP for HIV
PEP (Post-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a way to stop HIV infection after a possible exposure (i.e. if a condom breaks, if you have been sexually assaulted, or if you had unprotected sex and are unsure of the status of your partner). You must access PEP within 72 hours of a potential exposure.

To find out how to urgently get PEP, talk to our staff. We will discuss with you the options available to cover the cost of PEP, help you enroll into any benefits programs, and coordinate your first medical appointment with the PEP provider. (PEP can also be accessed in most emergency rooms).


HIV Treatment
HIV treatment involves taking highly effective medicines that work to control the virus. Treatment is recommended for everyone with HIV, and people with HIV should start it as soon as possible after am HIV diagnosis. There are several treatment options such a once-daily pill or long-acting injections.

HIV treatment is key to ensuring a long healthy life. We will discuss options available to cover HIV treatment, & coordinate your first medical visit. We will discuss with you the options available to cover the cost of HIV treatment, help you enroll into any benefits programs, and coordinate your first medical appointment with the medical provider.

HIV treatment is accessible in NYC regardless of immigration status.

All services are offered via appointments, either for in-person or online services.

Hours of service are from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

In-person services are performed in our location that is very accessible by subway and bus transportation.
